90 March 2017 RISMedia's REAL ESTATE Wayne Gretzky's Hotel of an Estate Sells for $6 Million Former professional ice hockey play- er Wayne Gretzky recently sold his plush Los Angeles Sherwood Coun- try Club estate for $6 million. The Canadian hockey great designed the home's interior to emulate his favor- ite boutique hotels, and the luxury both inside and outside the estate is endless. Gretzky and his wife Janet Jones bought the property in 2009 for $2.765 million. It features five bed- rooms, six bathrooms and 7,600 square feet of living space. Drenched in finery, the estate's amenities in- clude a guesthouse, a gym overlook- ing the palatial pool, a sauna, an outdoor kitchen and an office with a roaring fireplace. The property sold to Trixy Weiss, co-founder and co-chair of the Board of Directors of Genesis Capital. Sold by: Engel & Völkers' advisors, Nicole Van Parys and Gary Nesen Sold for: $6 million Jane Fonda's Hollywood Home Hits the Market Jane Fonda's Hollywood home re- cently landed on the market for just shy of $13 million. In true Hollywood fashion, the two-time Oscar winner also posted a video explaining what the estate means to her and why she loves it. The home spans 7,100 square feet on a 36,000-square-foot lot in the coveted Trousdale Estates sec- tion of Beverly Hills. The two-story space features glass walls that pro- vide epic canyon and ocean views. The spacious home has an open floor plan, a pristine pool, home gym, entertainment room with a bar, bath- rooms larger than most city apart- ments, and a bedroom suite with one of those fancy yet awkward living rooms for when you need to enter- tain guests in your boudoir. But don't let the luxury fool you. The estate is super eco-friendly, with photovoltaic electric panels, a solar heated pool, thermal glass double by Nick Caruso & Zoe Eisenberg The Great One's currently-for-sale home is more like a luxury hotel than a residence! {RISMedia's Great Spaces}
