{Executive Appointments} Silvia N. Rathell has joined the National As- sociation of Women in Real Estate Businesses (NAWRB) as the Washing- ton, D.C., satellite office govern- ment relations chairwoman, where she'll be assisting the organiza- tion's growth in government advo- cacy on behalf of women's gender equality and women-owned busi- nesses in the housing ecosystem. Rathell was most recently the na- tional chief development officer at the National Association of His- panic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP). Prior to this, she served as national senior director for Fed- eral and Corporate Relations at the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE) recently announced the appointment of Marci Rossell as the com- pany's first chief econo- mist. Rossell, Ph.D., will be the voice of LeadingRE's global economic research. In her new role, Rossell will provide updates and strategic economic insights for members of LeadingRE, as well as Luxury Portfolio International®, the luxury face of the company. She will deliver monthly updates for Lead- ingRE members, as well as speak at the company's annual conferenc- es and contribute to the bi-annual Luxury Portfolio magazine. Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc. has promoted James Sousa , a 28-year veteran of the real estate industry, to president, the company recently announced. Sousa, most recently manager of Weichert Com- mercial's Morris Plains, N.J., office, will be responsible for delivering the company's overall strategy to serve the needs of commercial real estate clients and customers. DocuSign has appointed Daniel Springer , a software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry veteran, as CEO , the company recently announced. Springer, previously the chairman and CEO of Responsys, brings more than 25 years of experience to the role. Keith Krach will continue as DocuSign's chairman of the board. Maëlle Gavet has been appoint- ed chief operating officer of Com- pass. Gavet, who will report to CEO and Co-founder Robert Reffkin, will oversee marketing, product, tech- nology and other functions. Gavet was previously overseeing opera- tions at The Priceline Group. SmartZip Analytics, Inc. has ap- pointed Sco Baumgartner as its first chief financial officer. Baumgartner, who brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, will lead SmartZip's account- ing and financial teams, as well as investor relations.
